Satelec, Urbaine de Travaux and Darras & Jouanin play their part in the RATP’s environmentally-friendly Bus2025 project

The RATP (Paris public transport authority) has confirmed its plans to convert two thirds of its bus centres to electric, and one third to natural gas (NGV) by 2025.

RATP’s bus infrastructure features 25 sites spread across Paris and its inner suburbs. Major upgrading is required to meet Île-de-France Mobilités’s aim of phasing diesel out of the region’s network.

New markets

An invitation to tender was launched and Satelec was awarded two contracts: redevelopment of the buildings at Bussy bus centre (Seine-et-Marne) to ready them to house electric and NGV systems; equipping of the Pleyel centre (Seine-Saint-Denis) in preparation for its conversion to electric. The project will last three years.
